Winning Schools Receive Prizes in South Hook LNG Calendar Competition
Twelve schools are celebrating wins in South Hook LNG’s ‘Recycle a Mascot’ Competition, receiving £1000 each and a spot in the Company’s 2018 calendar.
Celebrating the tenth anniversary calendar produced by the energy company, the competition invited children to create a Mascot from recycled and scrap materials. Entries of around sixty different Mascots were received from over twenty separate schools across the County.
“The judges had a difficult job selecting just twelve winning Mascots from the amount of fantastic entries received,” commented Mariam Dalziel, South Hook LNG’s PR Manager.
“We would like to thank everyone that took the time to enter the competition, helping us to celebrate ten years of working with local schools to promote important and varied learnings through our calendars.”
From safety and history to sport and wildlife, the theme of South Hook LNG’s annual calendar competition has covered many topics in the past ten years. This year’s focus was to promote environmental awareness amongst Pembrokeshire schools through the creation of Mascot made from recycled and scrap materials.
The winning schools for the 2018 South Hook LNG ‘Recycle a Mascot’ Competition are:
Broad Haven, Llanychllwydog, Templeton, Roch, Pembrokeshire Learning Centre, Spittal, Greenhill, Portfield, Saundersfoot, Coastlands, St Francis and St Teilos.
