Now Open - Apprenticeship Opportunity 2024

Join our apprenticeship programme at South Hook LNG and embark on a journey to develop an exciting future, whilst contributing to our mission of Delivering Energy to the UK. This year, we are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Apprentice, eager to achieve academic (BTEC) and vocational (NVQ) qualifications over a four-year period.

Commencing September 2024, your initial year will be dedicated full-time at Pembrokeshire College, complemented by site visits during holidays to engage with your mentor and colleagues.  You'll gain practical skills essential for maintaining our LNG Regasification Terminal and develop key behaviours crucial for our site's safe operation.

From the second year, you will continue with academic qualifications at Pembrokeshire College for one day each week, while dedicating the remaining four days to practical, on-the-job training at our Terminal.  Under the guidance of your assigned Mentor and our highly skilled Maintenance Team, you will continue to develop your technical skills.

To be eligible for the apprenticeship:

  • You must have completed the majority of your secondary education in Pembrokeshire.
  • You must be highly motivated - a person who is striving to learn and achieve.
  • You should have 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (or predicted) preferably including Maths and English or First Language Welsh
  • You must be practical minded, hands on, good at problem solving and enthusiastic about the journey you are taking.
  • You must be prepared to be continuously assessed throughout your Apprenticeship programme via observations, assignments, on the job reports, performance observations, examinations and further training that may be offered.
  • You must be able to study full time at Pembrokeshire College commencing September 2024
