Patch volunteers receive training following support from South Hook LNG

The team at Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship (PATCH) is taking on a new project thanks to a recent donation from the South Hook LNG Community Development Programme. Following South Hook LNG’s support the charity which helps those in severe financial hardship within Pembrokeshire is now able to work with the ‘Investors in Volunteers’ programme to help develop their own volunteers’ skills and confidence. The positive impact that PATCH has on the county could not be achieved without their team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. This programme, with South Hook’s LNG’s contribution, will allow the group to further the training and support of volunteers within their charity.

Tracy Olin the charity’s co-ordinator has described this development for the charity as a significant step.  By enhancing the potential of their fantastic team of volunteers they will be able to improve the overall support to their clients. ‘We at PATCH are so grateful to South Hook LNG for supporting this programme. Our volunteers are wonderful and we want to express our appreciation to them. This programme will help us follow best practice and ensure our volunteers’ needs are met.’

Mariam Dalziel, Public Relations Manager at South Hook LNG commented “South Hook LNG is delighted to have an association with PATCH.  They are committed to their volunteers; by providing advice and valuable opportunities for the team PATCH continues to prove the dedication that the group has in supporting the Pembrokeshire community.  It is a credit to their organisation.’
