Helping to Save Lives

August 2013

Pembrokeshire communities are receiving lifesaving equipment thanks to a new partnership between The British Heart Foundation Cymru, the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Hook LNG.

Around twenty lifesaving defibrillators (AED’s) are to be distributed to communities across the county, as part of The British Heart Foundation Cymru’s ‘No Time to Wait’ Appeal.

Located in communities where increased incidences of cardiac arrest have occurred or in more rural settings where ambulance accessibility can be challenging.

One village that has already benefitted from this initiative is the rural community of Angle.

Other communities receiving defibrillators include Milford Haven, St David’s, Carew, Stackpole, Lawrenny and Hook. The Welsh Ambulance Service will also be delivering training on how to use the AED’s.
