South Hook’s Boost for Much Loved Torch Theatre

16th Jun 25

A new projection screen and sound desk in the Theatre’s auditorium have been funded by South Hook, as part of its ongoing engagement with local charities and community organisations.

“We are proud to support such a valuable asset for our community. The Torch Theatre provides a wealth of cultural and educational opportunities for people across Pembrokeshire” commented Hamad Al Samra, South Hook’s General Manager.

As a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status, the Torch continues to engage, inspire, and entertain audiences from across the County and further afield. The funding from South Hook supports a programme of investment, allowing the Theatre to continue delivering the diversity of quality productions, cinema listings and live performances for which it has become known.

Speaking of the support, the Torch’s Artistic Director & Interim CEO, Chelsey Gillard said “We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support South Hook has given the Torch over a number of years. This generous funding has allowed us to update key equipment in our Main House auditorium that is used daily for live performances and cinema screenings. The new sound desk and projection screen will allow us to keep welcoming audiences and community groups to enjoy everything the Torch has to offer. Diolch yn fawr.”
