Milford Haven Carnival given a welcome boost from South Hook LNG
The Milford Haven Carnival is an important event for the town and we were delighted to be able to continue our support in 2019. Spectators came out in their thousands, making it another successful and memorable family day for the community. The Carnival was hosted by Milford Haven Round Table and also received funding from Milford Haven Town Council and a number of local businesses.
Crowds of delighted onlookers lined the streets. The colourful and lively procession, featuring X-Factor's Reggie 'n' Bollie, received an enthusiastic reception from everyone along the route, applauding the array of floats, dancers and the parade of walkers decked out in colourful costumes. Music contributed to the festive atmosphere, courtesy of Milford Haven Town Band and guest musicians from a Bhangra band from the West Midlands.
Carnival Winners were: Class A Business Float – Paul Sartori, Class B Private Float – St Katherine’s Stratford Players, Runner Up – Shrek, Class C Pub/Club Float – Milford United Football Club, Runner Up – Milford Haven Gymnastics Club, Class D Street Entry – Gelliswick Road, Runner Up – Richard John Road, Best Theme – St Katherine’s Stratford Players, Day of the Dead, Most Colourful Entry – Milford United Football Club, Best Float in Carnival Spirit – Milford United Football Club, Best Overall Float – Milford United Football Club, Runner Up Best Overall Float – St Katherine’s Stratford Players, Third Place Best Overall Float – Milford Haven Gymnastics Club.
