Supporting the valuable work of local cancer charity

The South Hook LNG Community Fund is helping Pembrokeshire Cancer Support’s fundraising activities, enabling the charity to continue to offer alternative therapy for people undergoing cancer treatment, across Pembrokeshire.

Pembrokeshire Cancer Support, a charity based in Pembroke Dock, provides invaluable support and information to those who have, or have had, cancer, as well as providing much needed support for carers, friends and family.

Following advice from a GP or consultant, the support centre is able to offer cancer patients complimentary therapy in the form of reflexology; something which the South Hook LNG Community Fund has been pleased to support through a £2,500 contribution.

Reflexology can be very beneficial for those undergoing cancer treatment, by helping them to relax and reduce stress and anxiety levels. It can also help to relieve pain by balancing and improving nerve and blood supply to areas of the body that need it, giving an overall sense of wellbeing to the patient.
