Community Flagship Project
South Hook LNG provided significant support to our local Scout Group, the 2nd Milford Haven Sea Scouts.
The Group are the sole remaining Scout Group in Milford Haven and have been in existence in the town since 1962.
Having chosen the 2nd Milford Haven Sea Scouts as a community flagship project for 2012 and 2013 we have been able to facilitate the much needed renovation and refurbishment of their premises in Gelliswick Bay.
Works included new classrooms, storage space, recreational areas, bathroom facilities and disabled access, alongside improving the safety and security of the building.
The Sea Scout Group is one of the largest youth groups in Milford Haven, having a thriving membership of around fifty youngsters, including boys and girls aged from 6 to 14 in Beaver, Cub and Scout sections.
Paul Skilton, Group Scout Leader, commented ‘I would like to express our deep gratitude for all that South Hook LNG has done in support of our project. The improvements will make a huge difference to the Group's ability to provide great Scouting opportunities to young people from the local area and in the wider community.’
