Qatargas 2

Why Milford Haven?
  Harnessing Qatar's Energy Potential
Qatargas has been at the forefront of the liquefied natural gas industry in Qatar since 1984.
Qatargas Operating Company Limited was formed for the purpose of operating and maintaining assets at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) which includes Qatargas 2.

The Qatargas 2 project is the world's first fully integrated LNG venture chain which starts with the drilling of 30 wells and the installation of three new platforms in Qatar's North Field.

Once the gas is ashore it will be refined and processed into a liquid state (LNG) in Trains 4 and 5 at RLIC. It will then be loaded onto new LNG tankers and shipped from Qatar. The South Hook terminal in Milford Haven, Wales, is where LNG will be received and regasified before being sent to end users via the national transmission system.

Visit the Qatargas website for further information.
What we do
As the UK's North Sea gas reserves dwindle, South Hook's supply of liquefied natural gas may ultimately provide a significant proportion of the UK's gas requirements.
